Data Change Management – Overview – Part 1

Data change is becoming a routine within organizations keeping them resilient, flexible and adaptive to inevitable changes that surround their environments. Maximo asset and service management data is no different! Seifware Inc. is pleased to announce the launch of a new product called DCM (Data Change Management) with unique capabilities alleviating technical complexities, reducing costs, organizing and managing data changes.

This is part of a series that will demo DCM product features.

Maximo DCM (Data Change Management) is a Maximo add-on that allows Maximo users to manage data change requests by uploading spreadsheets (or pasting its contents) in Maximo then routing requests for approval, preview, execution or rollback. DCM requests can be executed immediately or scheduled for execution during non-business hours. A DCM request is a batch of sequenced related data changes that are all committed at once when successful.

Maximo DCM supports template creation allowing end-users to quickly execute pre-designed data changes such as location and asset restructuring allowing identifier modification, location and asset addition, movement, retirement and more using a proprietary and adaptive data relationship dictionary managing Maximo data integrity.
